About the instructor: Ben Wight

Ben Wight is a Boston-based wedding and portrait photographer. The day after graduating from NESOP in 2007, he and a fellow graduate photographed their first wedding together; and thus Hitched Studios was started. He has spent the last ten years building his studio’s brand and bringing his unique style to weddings, working with clients locally, nationally and internationally. Committed to staying relevant in an ever-changing industry, Ben attends workshops around the country with some of the world’s top wedding and portrait photographers. After receiving his own accolades with PDN’s Top Knots award in 2010, he went on to receive Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston in 2011 and has received The Knot’s Best of Weddings five times. He has had photographs featured in magazines such as Boston Weddings, PDN, The Knot, Seacoast Bride, and Newport Weddings, to name a few. Outside of weddings, Ben works with a variety of clients ranging from local artists and small businesses, to larger companies like Gazelle and Converse. Inspired by the mentors and professionals from whom he learned, in 2012, he began teaching workshops at his studio in Somerville, MA. In 2017, he returned to NESOP to continue following his passion for education by sharing his real world experience with the next generation of professional photographers. To see Ben’s work, go to:
